Celem People to People International jest szerzenie międzynarodowego porozumienia i przyjaźni, poprzez edukacyjne, kulturalne i humanitarne działania, włączające wymianę idei oraz doświadczeń, bezpośrednio wśród osób z różnych krajów i różnorodnych kultur. Podejmiemy współpracę z każdą organizacją o podobnej naturze i zbliżonych celach.
People to People International poświęca szczególną wagę wzmacnianiu międzykulturowej komunikacji, w obrębie każdego społeczeństwa oraz pomiędzy społeczeństwami i narodami. Tolerancja i wzajemne zrozumienie, to centralne przedmioty działania. Jako bezstronna i apolityczna organizacja, PTPI wspiera podstawowe wartości i cele jej założyciela, Prezydenta Dwighta D. Eisenhowera.
Nasze przekonania:
- Wierzymy, że lepsze wzajemne zrozumienie pomiędzy indywidualnymi osobami i ludźmi na całym świecie, ujawnia podstawowe wartości i aspiracje.
- Wierzymy, że międzynarodowa, edukacyjna i kulturowa wymiana wśród młodzieży zapewnia długotrwałą przyjaźń i zrozumienie.
- Wierzymy, że wszyscy korzystamy na wymianie rożnych dróg rozwiązywania wspólnych problemów.
- Wierzymy, że indywidualne osoby mogą często być bardziej skuteczne w promowaniu stosunków międzyludzkich i światowego pokoju, niż rządy.
- Wierzymy, że jeśli ludzie mogą lepiej zrozumieć inne kultury, są bardziej tolerancyjni i akceptują różnice.
- Wierzymy, że obywatele wszystkich krajów, potrzebują bezpośrednich kontaktów z innymi ludźmi i kulturami.

People to People International (PTPI), with World Headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri USA, was established by President Dwight D. Eisenhower on September 11, 1956 to enhance international understanding and friendship through educational, cultural and humanitarian activities involving the exchange of ideas and experiences directly among peoples of different countries and diverse cultures. Today, as a NGO with a U.S., not-for-profit, [501 (c)(3)] tax rating, PTPI has a presence in 125 countries with more than 80,000 families and individuals actively participating in People to People International programs. Mission Statement
The purpose of People to People International is to enhance international understanding and friendship through educational, cultural and humanitarian activities involving the exchange of ideas and experiences directly among peoples of different countries and diverse cultures. It will cooperate with any and all other organizations, which are of similar nature and purpose.
People to People International is dedicated to enhancing cross-cultural communication within each community, and across communities and nations. Tolerance and mutual understanding are central themes. While not a partisan or political institution, PTPI supports the basic values and goals of its founder, President Dwight D. Eisenhower.
